Abstract

|
The purpose of this research was to examine the difference of family perception by Kinetic Family Drawing (KFD) of elementary school students according to the gender. It also was to investigate the relationship between family Perception by KFO as a measure of family characteristics.
The research question of this study was as follow: Are there any differences of family perception by KFD according to the gender?
Subjects of this study consisted of 296 fifth grade students (149 boys and 147 girls) drawn from two elementary schools in Cheong-ju city.
The results were as followings: There was statistically significant difference in family perception by KFD according to the gender. Family Perception by KFD included four dimensions such as behaviors, qualities, dynamics, and styles of family features.
In conclusion, this research indicated that the difference according to gender in the KFD and verified KFD to be a useful tool as a measure of family characteristics.
